What led you to become a teaching artist?
After nannying for more than a decade I learned that I had a special gift for communicating with and teaching babies and toddlers. I saw an opportunity to serve children in a way that I would have wanted for myself as a child, and for my future children.
In August 2012, I started Lavender Blues, a music-based program geared for babies and toddlers ages 0-3. Lavender Blues TV came later, reaching families around the world.
Teaching philosophy:
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH! Lavender Blues is about having fun, bonding with your child, and bringing a positive, creative energy to brighten up your day. Our circle welcomes everyone and encourages us to be kind to each other.
